OMAHA, Neb. -- The No. 25 Bellevue University baseball team swept a North Star Athletic Association from Presentation College to open the four-game series on Friday afternoon at John Stella Field at Brown Park.
Bellevue won the opener 6-1 before going on to a 9-4 win in the second game.

Game One: BU 6, PC 1
JT Patterson went 3-for-4 with four RBI and Kory Longaker scored three runs in a 2-for-4 day at the dish to lead Bellevue past Presentation 6-1 in the series-opener.
Stephen Knapp (8-2) fired 7.2 innings of six-hit ball to win his seventh-straight decision despite seeing his scoreless innings streak come to an end at 34.1 innings when Jace Wyatt took him deep with two outs in the eighth inning.
Chris D'Amico (3-3) suffered the loss for the Saints after allowing four runs – three earned – on seven hits over 5.1 innings.
D'Amico held the Bruins to just three hits through the first four innings before BU broke through with a three-run fifth inning. Patterson singled in a run to open the scoring and fielder's choices from Cody Banks and Riley Baasch each produced runs.
Patterson stretched the Bruin lead to 5-0 with a two-run double in the sixth and answered Wyatt's long ball with an single to right-center in the bottom of the eighth to restore a five-run Bellevue lead.
Game Two: BU 9, PC 4
Cody Banks and Tommy Hansen each registered three-hit games with JT Patterson and Travis Tanaka each adding multi-hit efforts to secure the Bruin sweep for the day.
Johnny Radomskiy led off the game with a towering home run to left field to give Presentation an early 1-0 lead.
After the first three batters of the second inning singled, Austin Alexander doubled off the first base bag to give the Bruins a 2-1 lead. BU threatened for more but Colin Crandall escaped further damage by recording back-to-back strikeouts and induced a comebacker after an inconsequential walk to escape further harm.
PC reclaimed the lead in the third via a sac fly off the bat of Jace Wyatt and an RBI-double to center field from Trent Williams.
Bellevue looked poised for a big inning in the bottom of the third after loading the bases with nobody out but a ground ball double play and a fly out saw the Saints get out of the inning after giving up just one run.
An inning later BU took a five-run lead courtesy of a run-scoring double by Tanaka and a pair of two-run shots off the bats of Patterson (16) and Hansen (3) to chase Crandall from the game.
Jace Wyatt launched his second home run of the day in the fifth to cut the Saints deficit to 8-4 but the Bruins answered in the bottom half, scoring on a balk.
BU starter Anthony Alvarado (4-2) held Presentation to four runs on six hits over 5.0 innings of work to earn the win.
Mitch Savine came on to pitch the final two innings without allowing a base-runner and preserve the Bruin victory.
Crandall (4-3) took the loss for the Saints after being tagged for eight runs on 11 hits in 3.2 innings on the hill.

The Bruins and Saints wrap up their four-game set tomorrow with another double-header scheduled for a noon start from John Stella Field at Brown Park. Between tomorrow's games, Bellevue will honor the nine members of the senior class for their contributions to the program.
