OMAHA, Neb. -- Back-to-back home runs from Kory Longaker and Riley Baasch turned a tie game into a five-run lead as the Bellevue University baseball team defeated Peru State College 13-7 on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action at John Stella Field at Brown Park.
Bellevue ran their win streak to seven games as they improved to 30-19 overall, securing their eight consecutive 30-win season. Peru State has now lost back-to-back games to dip to 26-16.

Bellevue cracked open a tie game with back-to-back home runs in the second to make it 6-1 en route to a 13-7 victory over Peru State on Tuesday.
The Bruins got on the board first when Stuart Eurich scored on a Travis Tanaka double.
Peru State answered with a run in the third inning on Darren Hasch's base hit to score Bryan Ventura Castro.
Kory Longaker put Bellevue back on top with his fourth inning grand slam to make it 5-1. Riley Baasch completed the back-to-back effort with a home run to center.
The Bobcats clawed across a run in the fifth to make it 6-2 courtesy of Ventura Castro's RBI-hit.
Another run-scoring hit from Tanaka in the fifth pushed BU's lead to 7-2.
An RBI-double from Gary Dixon and a run-scoring single by Eurich made it 9-2.
Gianfranco Garlobo and Ocasio each singled home a run for PSC in the seventh as the first four batters of the frame reached base. Jaime Del Hoyo added a hit later on in the inning to cut the deficit to 9-5. They threatened to score more but reliever Jordan Baughman left three runners aboard to escape further damage.
Tanaka added another RBI-single and Longaker chased in a run with a sac fly in the seventh before Dixon delivered a two-run double to make it 13-5.
A pair of RBI-doubles from Castro and Hasch in the eighth brought the score to 13-7.
Jarrod Molnaa (4-0) earned the win with five innings of five-hit ball. He struck out three and allowed a pair of runs.
Cragin Missak (1-2) was tagged with the loss after surrendering six runs on 10 BU hits over four innings.
