POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Bellevue University baseball players Joe Mancuso and Steve Sarcone were named Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Players and Pitchers of the Week announced today.
Mancuso batted .550 with a 1.050 slugging percentage to go along with six doubles, two triples and nine RBIs.
He collected four hits and combined for seven RBIs in wins over College of the Ozarks and York College.
Sarcone earned a win with six strikeouts in two appearances for BU last week for his second MCAC Pitcher of the Week nod this season.
The 18th-ranked Bruins (37-15-2) will await word of their postseason fate when the baseball national championship qualifiers are announced on NAIA.org at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 9.
