Five Bruins named MCAC Scholar-Athletes

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. -- Five Bellevue University baseball players were named MCAC Scholar-Athletes in an announcement made today in conjunction with the MCAC Baseball Tournament being held at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. 

Those Bruins who excelled in the classroom included: catcher Frank Haskett, left-handed pitcher Kyle Bixler, catcher Mark Medalia, and right-handed pitchers Rory Young and Stephan Meyer

To earn MCAC Scholar-Athlete honors, the student-athlete must own a 3.25 cumulative grade point average or higher and have completed at least two semesters at their present institution

The Bruins (36-14-2) will face York College today at noon in an elimination game at the MCAC Tournament. Fifth-ranked and top-seeded Oklahoma Wesleyan University will await the winner at 3:30 p.m.
