BARTLESVILLE, Okla. -- Senior Kyle Kinman highlighted the Bruins' all-MCAC baseball selections as the all-conference squads were announced today in conjunction with the MCAC Tournament being held at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
Kinman, a senior from Omaha, was named the MCAC Pitcher of the Year while also earning first team honors as an outfielder. In addition, he was also named to the MCAC Gold Glove team.
Kinman was joined on the first team by junior catcher Aaron Brasher, senior third baseman Nate Mullins, junior short stop Galli Cribbs, and senior left-handed pitcher Ricky Holm.
Bruin second-team selections included: senior first baseman Charlie Krueger, junior pitcher Brennan Henry, and junior relief pitcher Steve Sarcone.
On the mound, Kinman leads the Bruins with 132 strikeouts and is second with a 1.92 ERA, an 8-3 record, and 84 ⅓ innings pitched. At the plate, Kinman has a team-high .407 batting average, 64 RBIs, 17 doubles, five triples and five home runs. His .663 slugging percentage is second on the squad.
Brasher, who has started 42 games behind the plate, is currently batting .323 with 17 RBIs and 10 doubles.
Mullins has belted a team-high nine home runs while batting .330. He is second on the team with 45 RBIs and third with a .574 slugging percentage.
Cribbs is second on the team with a .351 batting average and third with 41 RBIs and 13 doubles.
Holm leads BU with a 9-1 record and six complete games. He is second on the team with 110 strikeouts and third with a 2.06 ERA.
Krueger, who missed the team's first 22 games, has a team-high .725 slugging percentage and is second on the team with 15 doubles and eight home runs and third with a .349 batting average, while adding a team fourth-best 35 RBIs.
Henry is 8-2 on the season with a 3.80 ERA and is third on the squad with 100 strikeouts.
Sarcone leads the team with a 1.65 ERA and is fourth with 49 strikeouts, while compiling a 5-3 record on the mound.
The Bruins (36-14-2) will face York College today at noon in an elimination game at the MCAC Tournament. Fifth-ranked and top-seeded Oklahoma Wesleyan University will await the winner at 3:30 p.m.
