York edges No. 18 Bruins in MCAC Tournament, 4-2

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. -- York College used a three-run second inning to defeat the 18th-ranked Bellevue University baseball team, 4-2, in the Bruins' first game of the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Thursday.

York moved to 32-19 with the win while Bellevue dropped to 34-14-2 with the loss.

The Bruins will play Central Baptist College in an elimination game at noon tomorrow.

The Panthers used three RBI singles in the second to take a 3-0 lead.

YC extended its lead to 4-0 after Sean Goodall's single in the fourth.

BU scored twice in the bottom of the sixth on Kyle Kinman's groundout and Charlie Krueger's single.

Tyler Molder (8-3) earned the complete game win for the Panthers. Kinman took the loss and fell to 8-3 on the season. He recorded 11 strikeouts in seven innings of work.

Zack Clark and Nate Mullins both went 2-for-4 to lead the offense that tallied eight hits.
