KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bellevue University third baseman Nate Mullins was named a 2014 NAIA baseball preseason All-American in an announcement made today.
The 17-member squad was selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association (NAIA-BCA) All-America committee.
Mullins earned first team NAIA All-American honors a season ago and was also selected as the 2013 Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year while leading the Bruins with a .387 batting average, 67 hits, 50 RBIs, nine home runs, and a .613 slugging percentage.
The 2013 Bruins finished with a 45-10-1 record, winning the MCAC regular season with a 21-3 overall mark, advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the third-straight year.
