Thompson hit .529 with two doubles, one home run and 11 RBIs while posting an .824 slugging percentage.
In the Bruins' 21-17 comeback win versus College of the Ozarks on April 21, he went 3-for-4 with six RBIs, including a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the tenth inning.
The senior from Plains, Mont., ranks second on the team in hitting, batting .374 with seven doubles and paces the Bruins in home runs (11) and RBIs (46). He was also named the conference's player of the week on March 26.
McFarland earned his third pitcher of the week honor this season, tossing a complete game three-hitter against the Bobcats. He recorded 11 strikeouts which are the second most he's had in a game this season. McFarland notched 15 strikeouts against Central Baptist College (March 23).
A transfer from Grays Harbor College, McFarland anchors BU's pitching staff with an 8-2 record with 79 strikeouts and five complete games in 70.0 innings pitched.
The Bruins are 32-17 overall and lead the conference with a 13-3 record. BU will return to action on Friday-Saturday, April 27-28 when they visit McPherson, Kan., to battle Central Christian College in its final conference games of the regular season.
