Bruins in 24th place in LEARFIELD Director's Cup Standings

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- (Full Release) Thanks to NAIA National Tournament appearances by the Bruin volleyball and men's soccer teams, Bellevue University is in 24th place after the fall season in the 2023-24 NAIA LEARFIELD Director's Cup Standings.

The men's soccer team finished with a 14-6-4 record, claiming its fourth-straight Continental Athletic Conference title and a fourth-straight NAIA National Tournament appearance, reaching the quarterfinals for the second time in program history.

BU men's soccer has now won 14 conference tournament titles and qualified for 10 NAIA National Tournaments, advancing to the Final Site on six occasions.

The women's volleyball program wrapped up the 2023 season with an overall record of 26-10, finishing second in the North Star Athletic Association regular season and post-season tournament while advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the 16th time in school history. 

Bruin volleyball won its NAIA Opening Round contest against Indiana-East, advancing to the Final Site in Sioux City for the 10th time in school history. The Bruins won their opening match against St. Ambrose before falling to top-ranked Northwestern (Iowa).  

Bellevue is the top-ranked program in the North Star Athletic Association, edging out Dickinson State, which is currently in 26th place. 

The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in the NAIA National Championships.
