BELLEVUE, Neb. -- In a statement today from the Bellevue University Hall of Fame Executive Committee it was announced that the 2020 Hall of Fame Golf Outing and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, scheduled for Aug. 7-8, have been postponed indefinitely.
Citing ongoing health concerns due to COVID-19 Hall of Fame Committee Chairperson Kevin Riley and BU Assistant Athletic Director Trish Siedlik released a joint-statement announcing the postponement.

Dear Bruin Family,
After consulting with health care professionals and local/county officials, we regretfully inform you that the Hall of Fame Golf Outing and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, scheduled for August 7th and 8th, are postponed indefinitely. In the wake of the recent increase in Covid-19 cases in Nebraska, the continued threat of the virus to many of our attendees and supporters, and our reluctance to be contributors to the pandemic spread, we felt it necessary to make this decision.
This was a difficult decision to make. We have been planning the events since January and truly wanted to gather in honor of the Jerry and Gloria Mosser Scholarship Fund and to celebrate the inductions of Gary Blum, Krisann Cihal Joens, Mark Heath-Preston, Rachel Muller Turek and Ron Weis to the Bellevue University Athletic Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, this pandemic continues to significantly affect our daily lives and opportunities to gather.
If you have paid for the golf outing and/or the induction dinner there are a few options. You can (1) leave it with the university, held in the Hall of Fame account to be used when we are able to conduct the events, (2) donate your money to the scholarship fund, or (3) request a refund. Please inform Trish Siedlik of your preference at siedlik@bellevue.edu.
NOTE: An anonymous donor has offered to match donations to this year's scholarship fund up to $2,000. Please consider a donation.
