BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Saturday's North Star Athletic Association basketball games between Bellevue University and Mayville State University have seen their start times adjusted. The women's game will now tip off at 5 p.m. with the men's game to follow at 7 p.m.
This change comes results from forecasted inclement weather on Friday evening which is expected to make travel difficult for the visiting Comets.
The women's match-up features the top two teams in the NSAA Preseason Coaches' Poll. Mayville State (14-2 | 3-0 NSAA), the defending regular-season champion, was picked first in the preseason. Bellevue (11-8 | 2-1 NSAA), last season's tournament champion, was picked second in the poll.
Both men's teams enter play unbeaten in league play with 3-0 NSAA marks. Bellevue (13-6) has won at least a share of each of the last three NSAA Regular-Season Championships and won the 2017 NSAA Tournament while Mayville State (13-2) has claimed each of the last two NSAA Tournament titles.
Friday's games remain unchanged with the BU women tipping off against Presentation College at 5:30 p.m. and the BU men following against the Saints with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off from inside the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
