SEWARD, Neb. -- Competing in just their second track meet, every Bellevue University runner showed improvement at the Concordia University Invitational on Saturday.
The meet was held in ideal running conditions with temperatures reaching the mid-70's and slight breezes throughout the day.
Amongst the meet highlights was Cole Wagner picking up a third place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:41.87) in just his first attempt in the event.
Coach Craig Christians:
"I not only love the fact that we are cutting time but that we are really competing, giving it a full effort to beat every runner possible. We tried some people in different events today so we are learning how to race and, as we gain that experience, we will just keep cutting time."
Up Next:
Bellevue competes next weekend at the Sioux City Relays on April 12-13.
