13 Bruins named NSAA Fall Scholar-Athletes

MADISON, S.D. -- Thirteen Bellevue University student-athletes earned North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Fall Scholar-Athlete honors in an announcement made today by the conference office. 

A total of 255 student-athletes from the league's eight member institutions earned NSAA Scholar-Athlete recognition. 

The 255 recipients, participating in men's and women's cross country, volleyball and football were recognized for their outstanding achievement in the classroom and on the playing field.

To be eligible for the NSAA Academic Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must achieve a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale.  In addition, to be eligible, a student-athlete needs to have participated in a junior varsity or varsity game (freshman redshirts excluded). 

Presentation (S.D.) landed 48 recipients on the conference scholar-athlete list.  Valley City State (N.D.) had 41 scholar-athletes listed, followed by Waldorf (Iowa) with 38 scholar-athletes.  Dakota State (S.D.) registered 36 recipients to the list, while Dickinson State (N.D.) had 30 recipients.
