As a Reiver she posted a P.R. of 19:57.1 at the 2017 NJCAA National Championship held at the Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge, Iowa. While at Iowa Western, Russo also ran both indoor and outdoor track. Her P.R. times for outdoor track are 5:24.00 (1500 Meters), 20:22.99 (5,000 Meters), and 42:58.64 (10,000 Meters).
