MADISON, S.D. -- For the second-straight week and the third time this season, senior libero Taylan Keefer (Council Bluffs, Iowa) has earned North Star Athletic Association Defender of the Week honors for her performances in last week's home matches for the Bruins.
Keefer averaged 6.17 digs per set in BU's two matches, a sweep over Dickinson State University and a three-set loss to Valley City State University.
She registered 14 digs in the win over the Blue Hawks and followed that up with 23 digs in the loss to VCSU.
Keefer currently leads the Bruins and ranks third in the NSAA with 4.93 digs per set and 365 digs overall. She has recorded double-figure dig totals in all but two matches this season. In conference matches only, Keefer ranks second with 6.17 digs per set.
The Bruins will travel to Madison, S.D., tomorrow, Oct. 10, for a 6 p.m. NSAA contest at Dakota State University.
