MADISON, S.D. -- Sophomore Kealy Kiviniemi has been named the North Star Athletic Association Attacker of the Week for her performances in the Bruins' two matches last week against No. 6 Viterbo University and Waldorf University.
Kiviniemi recorded 29 kills on the week and hit .350 while adding three digs and three blocks.
In Bellevue's five-set loss to Viterbo, Kiviniemi pounded 16 kills on .324 hitting while adding a pair of blocks. She followed that up with 13 kills on .385 hitting in BU's sweep over Waldorf.
Kiviniemi is currently second on the team and 10th in the NSAA with 2.81 kills per set. She leads the Bruins and ranks third in the league with a .281 hitting percentage.
The Bruins will head to Mayville, N.D., this Friday, Sept. 29, to take on Mayville State University in an NSAA contest beginning at 6 p.m.
