KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- For the fifth time in her career, senior Olivia Galas has been named the NAIA National Setter of the Week for her performances last week in the Bruins' two conference road sweeps at Presentation College and Mayville State University.
Galas averaged 12.83 assists and 5.17 digs per set while recording double-doubles in both matches. She finished with 38 assists, 14 digs, two blocks, and a service ace in the victory over the Saints. She followed that up with 39 assists, 17 digs, and four kills in the win over MSU.
She leads the Bruins with 16 double-doubles on the season and three triple-doubles.
Galas currently leads the NSAA and ranks sixth nationally with 11.07 assists per set.
The 16th-ranked Bruins (23-6/11-1 NSAA) return home this Friday, Nov. 4, for a 7 p.m. NSAA matchup against Waldorf University. The Bruins' five seniors, Brooklyn Hundt, Nicole Meyer, Rosa Reed-Bouley, Sierra Athen, and Olivia Galas, will be honored following the match.
