CRETE, Neb. -- Four Bruins registered double-figure kill totals as the 14th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team recorded a 3-1 (25-14, 22-25, 25-12, 25-22) non-conference victory at Doane University Tuesday night at the Haddix Center. 

The Bruins, who won their seventh-straight match, improved to 15-5 on the season. Doane fell to 7-18 overall. 

Senior outside hitter Sierra Athen recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 12 kills and 20 digs. 

Senior middle blocker Nicole Meyer registered a season-high 12 kills on .423 hitting, along with two digs and a pair of blocks. 

Sophomore middle blocker Jacki Apel hit .310 with 12 kills, along with two blocks.  

Sophomore rightside hitter Sidney Sledge was the fourth Bruin in double figures, finishing with 10 kills on .333 hitting. 

Senior setter Olivia Galas directed the BU offense to a .271 hitting percentage, finishing with 44 assists, to go along with seven kills, three digs, two blocks, and a service ace. 

Sophomore libero Taylan Keefer anchored the Bruin defense with a match-high 28 digs. She also added four assists. 

Jaime Renshaw paced the Tigers, collecting a triple-double with 20 assists, 18 digs, and 10 kills.  

The Bruins will resume conference action on Friday, Oct. 7, when they travel to LaCrosse, Wis., to take on No. 8-ranked Viterbo University. Bellevue and Viterbo are currently atop the NSAA standings at 5-0.
