BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Freshman outside hitter Eve Fountain pounded 16 kills on .467 hitting to guide the 11th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team to a decisive 3-0 (25-18, 25-9, 25-21) sweep over Mayville State University Friday night in North Star Athletic Association action at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. 

The Bruins, who have now won four-straight matches, improved to 20-5 on the season and 9-2 in the NSAA. MSU dropped to 13-13 overall and 3-8 in league play. 

Fountain recorded her team-leading 17th double-double of the season by adding 11 digs along with a match-high four service aces. 

Freshman rightside hitter Jacki Apel was also in double-figures, finishing with 10 kills along with two digs and a block. 

Junior setter Olivia Galas produced her eighth double-double of the season, registering 46 assists and 12 digs. She also recorded five kills with just one error on 10 swings. 

Freshman middle hitter Haley Fleischman continued her hot hitting, connecting on nine kills on 19 errorless swings. 

Freshman libero Taylan Keefer tied Galas with a match-high 12 digs as BU held a commanding 61-40 advantage in total digs. 

The Bruins, who never trailed in the match, hit .350 in the victory while limiting the Comets to a .089 hitting percentage. 

Bellevue will host Presentation College tomorrow (Oct. 30) at 1 p.m. in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. It will mark the final regular-season home match for the Bruins.
