SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced today that 556 volleyball student-athletes, including Bellevue University's Lauren Colpitts, Hope Lambrecht, Gracie Myers, and Rachel Wald have been named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

Graceland (Iowa) University led all institutions with 11 individuals on the list. In total, 152 institutions were named to the list. 

The Bruins finished the 2017 season with a 30-13 overall record, advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the 10th time in school history.
