ABERDEEN, S.D. -- Freshman Shayla Scanlan led three Bruins with double-figure kills to pace the Bellevue University volleyball team to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Presentation College in a North Star Athletic Association match on Friday evening.

The two sides hit an identical .217 in the opening set with Bellevue emerging triumphant with a 25-20 victory. The second set was not as close with BU dominating play, hitting .316 while limiting the Saint to just seven kills and an .062 hitting percentage on their way to a 25-14 win. The Bruins wrapped up the victory, hitting .273 in the third set while holding Presentation to a .186 effort in a 25-22 win.

Scanlan led the Bruins with 12 kills while sophomore Mikaylah Gillespie and freshman Marylyn Mozena each added 10. Gillespie hit a team-best .350 on the night while Mozena notched her second double-double of the year.
