LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Junior LaJaida Even led four Bruins in double figures with a career-high 17 kills as the Bellevue University volleyball team defeated Haskell Indian Nations University, 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-23, 25-20) Friday night at Tony Coffin Sports Complex in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference action. 

Even hit .324 for the match and added a block while recording her 12th double-figure kill total of the season. Freshman outside hitters Rachel Wald and Gracie Myers both recorded 14 kills and junior Symone Faulkner added 10 kills and a match-high six blocks. 

Junior setter Beth Walker recorded her team-leading 19th double-double of the season, finishing with a season-high 60 assists, while adding 15 digs. She directed the Bruin offense to a .305 hitting percentage, the team's highest hitting clip in the last 15 matches.   

Freshman libero Taylor Holz anchored the BU defense with a match-high 21 digs, while adding four assists. It marked the fifth time this season Holz has recorded 20 or more digs. 

Aspen Sheperd led the Indians with 11 kills and four blocks. 

The Bruins (21-18/6-1 MCAC) will conclude the regular season tomorrow (Nov. 8) with a 1 p.m. contest at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Okla. It Bellevue wins, the Bruins will share the conference regular-season title with College of the Ozarks and will host the MCAC Tournament on Friday-Saturday, Nov. 14-15 at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
