SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced today that 391 volleyball student-athletes, including Bellevue University's Meghan Evans, have been named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes.

Evans led the Bruins with 640 digs and ranked second in set assists (134) and third in service aces (35). In addition, she was named a first team all-MCAC selection for the third-straight season.

She also earned this honor last year and finished her four-year career second in all-time digs with 2,351.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.

The Bruins finished the 2013 season with a 34-9 overall record and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament for the seventh-straight season.
