Bruins advance to MCAC title match with sweep over York

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. --  Maureen Wardian and Caitlyn Rueth pounded 11 kills apiece to lead the 21st-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-14) sweep over York College in the first semifinal of the 2011 MCAC Tournament being held at Keeter Gymnasium on the campus of College of the Ozarks.

The second-seeded Bruins will take on the top seed, College of the Ozarks, in the championship match on Saturday at noon. 

Wardian hit .588 with just one error in 17 swings. Annie Benson added eight kills and three digs and Kali Schnacker contributed with seven kills and a pair of blocks. 

Jordan Broady directed the BU offense to a .352 attack percentage while dishing out 37 assists, while providing six kills and three kills. 

Ashley Wurdeman paced the Bruin defense with 12 digs. Mollie Gavin added nine digs as BU held the Panthers to a .069 attack percentage.
