The Bruins qualified for the NAIA Volleyball National Championship for the fourth-straight year and for the fifth time in school history. Bellevue owns a 7-10 all-time record in the tournament.
The winner of the Bellevue-St. Xavier match will advance to the 24-team NAIA Volleyball National Championship final site in Sioux City, Iowa on Nov. 30-Dec. 4 at the Tyson Event Center/Gateway Arena.
The Bruins (33-11) won the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament last Saturday over College of the Ozarks, receiving the league's automatic berth. Bellevue and College of the Ozarks were co-regular season champions in the MCAC with identical 15-1 conference records.
St. Xavier defeated Trinity Christian College on Saturday in four sets to claim the CCAC Tournament title and the league's automatic berth into the NAIA Volleyball National Championship. It will be the Cougars' second-ever appearance in the tournament.
