POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- The 15th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team took over sole possession of first place in the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference standings with a come-from-behind 3-2 (18-25, 27-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-11) win at College of the Ozarks Friday night.

The two teams entered the night with identical overall and conference records. The Bruins are now 15-6 overall and 4-0 in the MCAC. College of the Ozarks is 14-7 and 3-1 in the league.

For the second-straight match, sophomore Kali Schnacker tied her season high with 20 kills to lead the Bruin offense.

"This was a good five-set win for us," said BU head coach Trish Siedlik. "We realize that we have a target on our backs in every conference match. Every team is going to bring their best to try to beat us since we have been the top team in the league the past few years. I am proud of how this team responded to the challenge in the last two sets, especially after losing in five earlier in the week to Morningside."

Freshman setter Jordan Broady dished out a career-high 55 assists in the win.

Sophomore Maureen Wardian collected a match-high three blocks despite suffering an eye injury near the end of the fourth set. Junior Katy Gregory added three service aces in the victory.

The Bruins will travel to Bartlesville, Okla. tomorrow (Oct. 3) for a 1 p.m. conference match with Oklahoma Wesleyan.
