Haley Shelton, more widely known as DD in the soccer community, joins the Bruins staff ahead of the 2020 season as the Goalkeeping Coach.

A NCAA Division I player at the University of Nebraska Omaha from 2012 through 2017, she had a unique playing experience. She entered college as a defender but suffered a back injury that required surgery, returned to play as a central midfielder, then transitioned to goalkeeper. After only three years as a DI goalkeeper, DD garnered multiple Summit League Defensive Player of the Week awards, set several goalkeeping records for her university, and received honorable mention on the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week. 

Post collegiate play, DD immediately began coaching as Goalkeeper and Assistant Varsity Coach at Omaha Marian High School. She continues to coach at Marian while also acting as Co-Director of Goalkeeping for Nebraska Roots Soccer Club. In addition, she is Head Coach of the Nebraska Roots 2008 Boys' Second Team.

DD has earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Finance, Investment and Banking and a Master's degree in Business Administration with an International Business concentration. In addition to coaching, she works full time as a Senior Business Consultant for Unified Development, a custom software development company.
