BU adds third Murray State signee in Humes

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Lily Humes (Bournemouth, England) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

The daughter of Graham and Clare, Aimee attended Brockenhurst College under the guidance of Steve Cuss.

Humes played her club soccer at AFC Bournemouth.

Lily, under the guidance of John Connor captained the team through her freshman year and helped guide them to a runner up spot in the NJCAA D1 district final.

During her career at Murray State, she contributed to 6 goals 4 assists.

"We are very excited that Lily will be joining us this fall. Her passion and love for the game really drew us to her. Lily possesses real quality on the ball and her work rate is next to nothing so it was important we got her to become a Bruin."

Humes joins the previously announced Giuliani Gagliolo (MF/Omaha, Neb./Millard West HS), Bethan Cowd (MF/D, Torpoint, Cornwall, England/Murray State), and Aimee Steele (F/MF, Newcastle, England/Murray State) in the Bruins' 2024 recruiting class.

Bellevue wrapped up the 2023 season with an overall record of 12-3-1, claiming the top seed in the Continental Athletic Conference Tournament where they reached the CAC title game for the third-straight season.
