Wemhoff signs with BU women's soccer

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Beverley Wemhoff (Montgomery, Texas) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

The daughter of Sean and Mercy Wemhoff, Beverley attends Montgomery High School where she is coached by Brandi Wilkinson.

During her high school career, she notched 11 goals and provided 12 assists. Wemhoff also played a pivotal role helping her high school team make the playoffs three times in four years.

She played her club soccer at Dash GA2 North under the guidance of Jamie Bell.

Coach White on Wemhoff:

"We are very excited that Beverley will be joining us this fall. After talking to Jamie about her, I knew she would be a good fit for us. She is a team player, wants to improve daily, and is very coachable. We cannot wait to see how she grows here."

Wemhoff joins earlier signees Alaina Meads (Glenwood, Iowa), Lauren Chetty (Aldershot, England), Thea Engen (Lillehammer, Norway), Alessia Ricciardi (Milan, Italy), and Anouchka Berthelot (Morne a l'eau, Guadeloupe) in the Bruins' 2023 recruiting class.

Bellevue concluded the 2022 season with a 13-4-2 overall record and won both the CAC Regular-Season and Tournament Championships. The Bruins made their second-straight trip to the NAIA National Tournament, and seventh overall, putting up a spirited performance against #2-ranked Marian University.
