Chetty signs LOI to play at BU

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Lauren Chetty (Aldershot, England) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

The daughter of John and Sarah Chetty, Lauren attends Iowa Central Community College where she was their leading goal scorer last term. Through her JUCO career she was awarded player of the week in 2022, as well as making the ICCAC Women's all-tournament team and first team all-region.

Chetty played her club soccer for Rushmoor Community Women FC under the guidance of Gary Smith.

Coach White on Chetty:

"We are very excited that Lauren will be joining us this fall. She will add more firepower to our front line and increase competition throughout the squad. She has two great years of experience coming off her junior college career so were looking forward to see how she gels with our current squad."

Chetty joins earlier signee Alaina Meads (Glenwood, Iowa) in the Bruins' 2023 recruiting class.

Bellevue concluded the 2022 season with a 13-4-2 overall record and won both the CAC Regular-Season and Tournament Championships. The Bruins made their second-straight trip to the NAIA National Tournament and seventh overall, putting up a spirited performance against #2-ranked Marian University.
