Bruins announce Meads as first 2023 signing

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Alaina Meads (Glenwood, Iowa) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

The daughter of John and Raina Meads, Alaina attends Glenwood High School where she was named midfielder of the year as well as earning second team all-conference honors.

Meads plays her club soccer for Evolution Soccer Club in the metropolitan area under the guidance of Kyle Droege.

Coach White on Meads:

"We are very excited that Alaina will be joining us this fall. We pride ourselves on bringing in athletes with great character and work rate and Alaina ticks both those boxes. After talking to her club coach we had to get her in for a visit and it was great to see how well she got on with the current bruin squad. Alaina will come in and bring in more competition this fall within the midfield unit."

Bellevue concluded the 2022 season with a 13-4-2 overall record and won both the CAC Regular-Season and Tournament Championships. The Bruins made their second-straight trip to the NAIA National Tournament and seventh overall, putting up a spirited performance against #2-ranked Marian University.
