LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University sophomore
Jauregui, a utility player at this point in the season, slid further up into the attack this week playing as an attacking midfielder. In a 2-0 win against College of St. Mary she scored her fifth goal of the year after assisting the eventual game-winner earlier in the contest. She followed that performance up with an assist on the road in a 2-1 loss at Dordt.
Her nine assists lead the CAC while her 19 points rank second in the conference. Both stats are tops among Bellevue players while her five goals are second on the club.
The award is the fourth weekly honor for Jauregui who was previously featured as the league's Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 6. Twice, Aug. 29 and Sept. 19, she has been named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Bellevue (7-2-1) has their best record through 10 games since 2014 and next plays on Thursday, Oct. 6 at Waldorf University (2-6-3) at 3 p.m.
