LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University sophomore Ximena Jauregui (Cancun, Mexico) has been recognized as the initial 2022 Continental Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Jauregui scored a goal and registered three assists through BU's first two games of the season, both victories.
The winger scored a goal and assisted on two others, including the game-winner, in the season-opening 5-0 win over Dakota Wesleyan. She followed up by providing an assist on the second goal of a 2-0 win over William Penn last week.
After posting wins in each of their first two games, Bellevue faces their toughest test to date tomorrow night when they host Morningside University (2-0-0). Kick-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Papillion Landing.
