BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Ella Pelletier (Papillion, Neb.) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning this spring.

The daughter of Joel and Tina Pelletier, Ella comes to Bellevue University after playing at Iowa Western Community College where she helped the program qualify for the NJCAA National Tournament in each of her two seasons. Moreover, she made the 2021 Region XI All-Tournament Team and earned NJCAA Division I Player of the Week honors.

During her spell under the guidance of Adam Sanchez, she contributed 12 goals and one assist.

Before her JuCo career, Ella attended Papillion-La Vista South High School and played club ball at Papillion Soccer Club under coach Kerry Engelkamp.

Coach White on Pelletier:

"We are very excited that Ella is joining our program this spring. She will add more competition and depth within the squad. She not only brings a wealth of college experience but also a strong work ethic on and off the field. For us, after spending a good chunk of time to get to know her, we knew she would be a perfect fit for the program."

Pelletier joins previously announced signees Shadine Rutherford (Kingston, Jamaica), Rendi Takara-Haraki (Mililani, Hawaii), Emma Madej (Omaha, Neb.) and Jenn Amaro (Mexico City, Mexico) in the Bruins' 2022 recruiting class.

Bellevue wrapped up a successful 2021 campaign by returning to the NAIA National Tournament for the first time since 2014. Despite an injury-riddled and trying season on the field, the Bruins won their semifinal at the CAC Tournament for the first time to secure a spot in the NAIA Opening Round.
