White announces addition of Driever to women's soccer program

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University women's soccer coach Tom White announced today the signing of Kaycee Driever (Nebraska City, Neb./Nebraska City HS) to a Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall of 2019.

Driever is the daughter of Cari Godsey and Matthew Driever. She is currently a senior, and the team captain, at Nebraska City High School where she just broke the school record for goals in a season. She has now scored 18 goals and five assists on the season.

She has earned a bevy of awards on and off the field including; NCPA/NSAA Academic All-State, Lincoln Journal Star Academic All-State, EMC Academic All-Conference, EMC All-Conference, she has been an honor roll student all four years of high school, is a member of the National Honor Society.

In addition to her high school team, Driever also plays club soccer for Bellevue Soccer Club where she is coached by Bellevue University men's head soccer coach Mark Heath-Preston.

"I have had the luxury of being able to watch Kaycee grow into a clinical finisher over the years at the soccer club. After talking to her club coach about her attributes and work rate, I knew I had to sign Kaycee, as she will contribute on and off the field. Kaycee is going to add great character and be a key figure for us moving forward."

Driever joins earlier signees Maddy Vasquez (Omaha, Neb.) and Alanis Neely (Council Bluffs, Iowa) in the Bruins' 2019 recruiting class.

Bellevue finished the 2018 season with a 10-5-0 overall record, marking BU's 15th-straight season with at least 10 victories, and qualified for the A.I.I. Tournament.
