BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bruin women's soccer program, under head coach Andy Nicolarsen, is pleased to announce the signing of Jennifer Romero (Denver, Colo.) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall of 2017.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Jenn played her last two season of soccer at Iowa Lakes Community College. The Lakers went 9-6-1 last season and advanced to the regional semifinals under Coach Blake Viedenkamp. Jenn earned All-Conference Honorable mention and a spot on the Region XI All-Tournament team for her efforts on the field.
"Jenn is an extremely quick player with excellent full out speed. She also has very good technique, mental toughness and an understanding of how to play the game. She is definitely going to help us out next fall. I look forward to having her in the team."
This past season the Bruins posted a 12-5-1 overall record and a 3-1-0 mark in conference play en route to claiming both the North Star Regular-Season and Tournament Championships. BU closed the season on a high note, winning four-straight games and posting an 8-1-1 mark in their final 10 contests.
