Women's Soccer announces a pair of recruit signings

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University women's soccer team, under head coach Andy Nicolarsen, announced today a pair signings to their 2017 recruiting class.

"The Bruins are pleased to announce the signing of Brooke Harold (Abraham Lincoln HS) and Jayda Noble (Bellevue West HS) for the fall 2017 season," said Coach Nicolarsen.

Brooke is currently a senior at Abraham Lincoln High school and the daughter of Corey and Carrie Harold and sister to Katie.  She looks to be a four-year letter-winner going into her senior season this spring for the Lynx.  During her first three years, she tallied 17 goals and 15 assists from the midfield earning All-Conference accolades for her efforts.  Brooke began her competitive club career with EGA playing for their technical director Marcus Kelcher.  After her time with EGA she moved to her home town club CBSC where she played for the U19 black team.  Brooke is an honor roll student at Abraham Lincoln and looks to earn a degree in Secondary Education at Bellevue.

Coach Nicolarsen stated that "Brooke is a very technical player with a great feel and understanding for the game.  She is athletic and quick and very smart on the ball.  Having played at a high level of club soccer will allow her to adjust to the college game quickly.  I anticipate Brooke becoming a very good player for us."

Jayda Noble is the daughter of Carla and Jerod Noble and sister to Jordan.  She joins the Bruins from Bellevue West high school where she has been a four year member of the successful Thunderbird program under coach Goat.  Jayda spent the last 4 season playing her club soccer for the Metro Omaha Wolves Fiera club team.  Fiera competes at the primer level of the Nebraska Soccer League was coached by Rick Esparza and Goat.  In addition to her club soccer Jayda also represented her state at the ODP level.

"Jayda is a physically strong defensive player that is good on the ball, knows where to be tactically and covers a lot of space quickly.  I am exciting about watching her progress into college soccer.  Her fearless nature and strength are going to have an impact on our program."

This past season the Bruins posted a 12-5-1 overall record and a 3-1-0 mark in conference play en route to claiming both the NSAA Regular-Season and Tournament Championships. BU closed the season on a high note, winning four-straight games and posting an 8-1-1 mark in their final 10 contests.
