Bruins enjoy successful Senior Day against Grace

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University women's soccer team got goals from six different players on their way to defeating Grace University, 8-0, on Tuesday afternoon's Senior Day at Bellevue Soccer Club.

Prior to the match Bellevue honored their four seniors – Aubriana Batchelor, Michelle Dolder, Betsy Fischenich, and Kate Petersen – for their contributions to the program over the last four seasons. All four seniors scored a goal on the day, led by Dolder's second hat trick of the season.

Dolder (13', 21', 37') scored all three of her goals in the first half and Fischenich (16') added a strike to give the Bruins a commanding 4-0 advantage headed into intermission.

Bellevue continued to pile on in the second scoring four times on strikes from sophomore Kristin Hanson, Batchelor (68'), Petersen (82'), and sophomore Madison Lambert (90').

BU dominated in all facets of the game, owning a 45-2 advantage in shots (24-1 on goal) and a 5-0 edge in corner kicks. The 45 shots were a season-high for the Bruins.

The Bruins close out the regular season on Friday, Oct. 30 with a 3 p.m. North Star match at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa.
