BELLEVUE, Neb. – Bellevue sophomore Lauren Clark (Portsmouth, England) and freshman Laurence Rodier (Quebec, Canada) have been named Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, as announced by the conference. The honors are the first of their kind for both players.

Clark recorded the game-winner with her sixth tally in the 25th minute. Clark forced a CSM turnover near midfield and took the ball down the middle to the edge of the 18-yard box arc and unleashed a powerful shot low and across her body past the diving keeper. In addition, she set up numerous shot opportunities, directing traffic masterfully out of a central midfield position.

Laurence Rodier made four saves for the Bruins while her counterpart Courtney Smith stopped seven shots for College of Saint Mary. For Rodier, it was her third clean sheet of the season and she improved her record to 9-0-0 on the season. She now has a goals against average of 0.58 and a save percentage of .773 for the year.

Nationally ranked at No. 19, Bellevue (15-1-0) will return to the pitch on Friday for a 2:00 p.m. match with Oklahoma Wesleyan University at Tranquility Park in Omaha for the MCAC Tournament Championship.
