Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Andy Nicolarsen announced today that Sydney Tincher, a Plattsmouth High School senior, has signed a letter of intent to compete for the Bellevue University women's soccer team in the 2014-2015 season.
Tincher is a three-sport athlete at Plattsmouth High School competing in soccer, basketball and softball. She earned honorable mention all-state honors in soccer and basketball while at PHS.
"We are thrilled to have Sydney join us this fall," said Nicolarsen. "She is one of those athletes that you notice on the field immediately. She just stands out. Her speed, strength and ability to get behind defenders and strike the ball on target make her a constant threat to score. She is a big addition to the team."
Tincher is the daughter of Kathy and Mark Tincher. She has one sister, Traci.
Bellevue ended the 2013 season with a 10-8-3 overall record, winning the MCAC Tournament championship, while advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the fourth-straight season.
