Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Andy Nicolarsen announced today that Nicole Rothell from Gilbert, S.C. has committed to play soccer for the Bruins this coming fall.

Rothell is a senior from Lexington High School in Gilbert, S.C. She played her club soccer for United FC Girl's Elite under coach KC Dunbaker. Her club teams have won the South Carolina state cup twice and finished runner up three times. She was a three-year starter for her high school team and is currently playing for head coach Chris Fryland at Lexington HS.

"Nicole is an all-around good keeper," said Nicolarsen. "She played high level club soccer and works extremely hard at improving her game. We are happy to have her on the team and know that she will become a great college player."

Rothell is the daughter of Donna and Jerry Rothell and sister to Adam.

Bellevue ended the 2013 season with a 10-8-3 overall record, winning the MCAC Tournament championship, while advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the fourth-straight season.
