Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Andy Nicolarsen announced today that Kaleigh Young of Bellevue West High School has committed to the Bruin women's soccer program for the 2014-2015 season.

Young plays her club soccer for Rick Esparza with Phoenix FC and her high school soccer under head coach Gaut Schlerizin at Bellevue West. She is an honor roll student at BWHS, a four-year varsity player and a center back on West's 2013 Nebraska state tournament team.

"Kaleigh is a tenacious defender," said Nicolarsen. "She is fast and athletic, excellent in the air and a solid tackler. She has all the skills of a great defender and will help solidify our back line which took a hit from graduation last season."

Young is the daughter of David Young and Stephanie and Michael Rastetter and sister to David Young III.

Bellevue ended the 2013 season with a 10-8-3 overall record, winning the MCAC Tournament championship, while advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the fourth-straight season.
