Bruin head women's soccer coach Andy Nicolarsen announced today that Madison Lambert of Bellevue West High School has signed a letter of intent to play for the Bellevue University women's soccer team for the 2014-2015 season.

Lambert played her club soccer for OFC and Phoenix FC under coach Rick Esparza and her high school soccer under coach Gaut Schlerizin at Bellevue West. She is a four-year varsity soccer player, an honor roll student, academic all-state honoree and a key player on Bellevue West's 2013 state tournament team.

"Madi knows how to play the game and that is what we like about her," said Nicolarsen. "She is also skilled on the ball, athletic, fast and very tactically aware. She can play anywhere on the outside of the field in the attack or defense. Madi is going to be a great college player."

Lambert is the daughter of Elliot Lambert and Dana and Scott Price and sister to Kelsea and Joshua Lambert.

Bellevue ended the 2013 season with a 10-8-3 overall record, winning the MCAC Tournament championship, while advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the fourth-straight season.
