BALDWIN CITY, Kan. -- For the second-straight season, Baker University ended the Bellevue University women's soccer team's season, posting a 2-1 win Saturday night in the NAIA Opening Round at Liston Stadium.
The Bruins end their season with a 13-4-1 record while Baker improved to 13-6-1.
Baker struck first, scoring a goal just 11:09 into the contest as the Wildcats took a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Jenica Bloom netted her team-leading 12th goal of the season to tie the match at 1-1 in the 52nd minute.
The Wildcats answered just a minute later on a goal by Jordan Dolbin at 52:44.
Caitlin Stier (12-4-1) recorded seven saves in the loss while Rachel Theobald notched three as she improved to 13-6-1.
The Bruins were outshot 17-8.
Baker advances to the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship final site in Orange Beach, Ala. on Nov. 26-Dec. 1.
