Women's soccer to play at Baker in NAIA Opening Round

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- For the second-straight year, the Bellevue University women's soccer team will travel to Baldwin City, Kan. on Saturday, Nov. 17 to take on Baker University in the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Opening Round.

The Bruins (13-3-1) earned an automatic berth into the National Championship after capturing the MCAC Tournament title with a 2-1 double overtime win over Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Nov. 10. BU also won the MCAC regular season title with a 6-0-1 record. 

The Wildcats (12-6-1) clinched an at-large berth to the National Championship after winning the Heart of America Athletic Conference regular season title.

This will the program's third-straight and third overall appearance in the NAIA National Tournament. 

Baker is also making its third-straight appearance and has a 5-1-1 record in the tournament. 

The winner of next Saturday's National Championship Opening Round match will advance to the National Championship final site from Nov. 26-Dec. 1 in Orange Beach, Ala.
