OMAHA, Neb. -- Morningside's Amy Samuelson scored with less than four minutes remaining in regulation to give the Mustangs a 1-0 victory over Bellevue University in non-conference women's soccer action Tuesday at Tranquility Park.
Samuelson's goal came off a direct free kick outside the box on the right side.
The Bruins (3-2) head to Lindsborg, Kan. this Saturday (Sept. 15) for a 1 p.m. non-conference match at Bethany (Kan.).
Morningside improved to 3-1-1 on the season with the victory.
After managing just one shot on goal in the first half, Morningside finished with eight shots on goal, holding an 8-3 advantage in that category.
Caitlin Stier took the loss, falling to 2-2 on the season. She recorded three saves in the loss.
