Bruins visit Baker for NAIA Opening Round

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The 22nd-ranked Bellevue University women's soccer team will travel to Baldwin City, Kan. on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 1:00 p.m. to take on 18th-ranked Baker University in the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Opening Round.

The Bruins (14-1-3) earned an automatic berth into the National Championship after capturing the MCAC Tournament title with a 2-1 over Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Nov. 5 in Bellevue. BU and OWU shared the regular season title with identical 5-0-1 league records. 

The Wildcats (13-3-1) clinched an automatic berth to the National Championship after capturing the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament  title with a 2-1 win over Graceland University.

This will the program's second-straight and second overall appearance in the NAIA National Tournament. 

Baker is also making its second straight appearance and has a 3-1-0 record in the tournament. 

The winner of next Saturday's National Championship Opening Round match will advance to the National Championship final site from Nov. 28 -Dec. 3 in Decatur, Ala.
