Stier earns MCAC Defensive Player of the Week
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Bellevue University sophomore goalkeeper Caitlin Stier has been named the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending on Oct. 23. 

Stier, a native of Omaha, Neb., helped the Bruins to a pair of conference shutouts last week over Central Christian College (3-0) and Central Baptist College (1-0).  She owns a 0.47 goals against average along with 41 saves and nine shutouts this season.

This marks the third time the sophomore has earned the weekly conference honor. She was also named the MCAC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 12 and Oct. 3.

Bellevue is 12-1-2 overall and 5-0-0 in the MCAC. The Bruins will conclude the regular season at Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Saturday, Oct. 29.
