YORK, Neb. -- A goal by Jenica Bloom in the 62nd minute gave the Bellevue University women's soccer team a 1-0 victory at York College Saturday afternoon in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
The Bruins improved to 10-1-2 on the season and 3-0 in the MCAC. York fell to 7-7-1 overall and 3-1 in league play.
Bloom, who collected her team-leading seventh goal of the season, found the back of the net at 61:59 following a corner kick from Amy Stigge, for the game's only goal.
Led by Bloom's five shots, including two on goal, Bellevue held a 22-7 advantage in total shots and an 11-3 edge in shots on goal.
Caitlin Stier recorded three saves while notching her eighth shutout of the season.
The Bruins return home on Wednesday, Oct. 19, for a 2 p.m. conference clash with Central Christian College at Tranquility Park.
