Bruins and Cougars play to scoreless draw

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Bellevue University women's soccer team and NCAA Division II University of Sioux Falls played to a scoreless draw at the Sanford Health Sports Complex on Wednesday night.

Sioux Falls is now 5-6-1 while Bellevue moved to 9-1-2 overall.

Caitlin Stier notched five saves while USF's Samantha Maybon recorded nine saves for the Cougars.

The Bruins outshot USF 18-10 and held a 9-5 edge in shots on goal.

Paige Wischmann unloaded a match-high five shots while Yaritza Estrada, this week's MCAC Offensive Player of the Week, recorded four shots on goal.

The BU women's soccer team will return to conference action on Saturday, Oct. 15 for a 3:30 p.m. match at York College.
